Programme Description
Many topics are covered in this course including performing a risk assessment, mounting and dismounting safely, understanding the function of all controls and the hazards associated with them, starting and stopping the engine in a safe manner. Attaching a mounted and trailed implement and manoeuvring, assessing the minimum turning circle of the machine, carrying out basic operations using a tractor mounted loader and leaving the tractor in a safe state.
Both novices and more seasoned tractor users are welcome on this course. Enabling learners to develop and expand where necessary on the skills and knowledge required in order to operate a tractor safely and competently.
This course is designed for learners with prior experience and learners who are new to tractor driving covering a range of industries including agriculture, forestry, horticulture and industrial.
Learners completing this course can progress onto one of the various other courses offered helping to further develop their skills and knowledge within the industry and progressing their careers and employability.
