Programme Description
This course will show learners how to identify the basic purpose and use of all controls and gauges and how to identify and comply with manufacturer’s instructions in accordance with the operator’s handbook. This course will explain all relevant documentation, how to carry out all pre-use and running checks, how to manoeuvre in confined areas using forward and reverse direction, both with and without a load.
Achieving a certificate demonstrates that you have been adequately trained for purposes of Health and Safety Work 1974. Including training in using the vehicle, any risks which such use may entail and precautions to be taken.
This course is for anyone who uses a rough terrain telescopic lift truck (pallet and bulk) in either the land-based or construction industry. The course will allow learners to develop the skills and knowledge required giving them the confidence to operate it safely.
Learners completing this course can progress onto one of the various other courses offered helping to further develop their skills and knowledge within the industry and progressing their careers and employability.
