  • Ammanford Campus
Full Time - 2 Years / Part Time - 3 Years

This foundation degree equips students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people within society.

This foundation degree (FdA) is a two year full-time or three year part time higher education course which aims to give students the required theory and knowledge to work with children, young people and families in a variety of settings.

Work or voluntary experience allows students to apply and observe how theory is put into practice however, this is not a competency based training. The course leads to a foundation degree qualification validated by University of Wales Trinity Saint David. A QCF Childcare qualification in professional practice can be studied alongside the FdA, at an additional cost.
