You might be searching for the right job or next steps in education and just need some support to get you there.
That’s where Jobs Growth Wales+ can help. It’s a great way to boost your confidence and get a taste of work you might be interested in. You’ll also have access to free training, work placements and paid jobs with employers in your area.

This strand of Jobs Growth Wales+ will help you decide what to do next. It’s also a good place to start if you need more support to help you take part in employment and education.
It gives you the opportunity to have a taste of jobs you might be interested in before you commit to a course or apprenticeship. It will also help you get ready for and move into the world of work.
You will work towards an Employability qualification.
You will be paid a training allowance of £30 and travel costs as applicable.

If you have a particular job or career path in mind, this strand of Jobs Growth Wales+ will help you turn this into a reality.
You can gain new skills in your chosen subject, and qualifications to help you progress to a higher level.
You’ll also gain work experience with local employers. You might even get a real job interview at the end of your work experience – and the support you receive through Jobs Growth Wales+ will help you to make a good impression.
You will be paid a training allowance of £55 and travel costs as applicable.

This will comprise of two days in College studying Level 1 Hairdressing and Essential Skills Qualifications in Communications, Application of Number and Digital Literacy. You will also attend three days work experience in a Salon.

This will comprise of three days in College studying Level 1 Construction and Essential Skills Qualifications in Communications, Application of Number and Digital Literacy. You will also gain work experience on site for two days a week.

This will comprise of two days in College studying Level 1 Motor Vehicle and Essential Skills Qualifications in Communications, Application of Number and Digital Literacy. You will also gain work experience in a garage for three days a week.

This will comprise of three days in College studying Level 1 Health and Social Care or Child Care and Essential Skills Qualifications in Communications, Application of Number and Digital Literacy. You will also gain work experience in a child care setting for two days a week.
Want some help to get into work?
If you know what you want to do and you’re actively looking and ready to start work, this strand of Jobs Growth Wales+ can help you get a job.
The employment strand allows you up to 10 weeks work experience with a training allowance of £55. You will then progress into paid employment at the minimum wage for your age, for a maximum of six months. You will have been identified as occupationally focused and job ready by your Working Wales Advisor.

You will be paid travel costs for up to 10 weeks as applicable.
For those who need it, additional financial and personal support is available to help you complete your Jobs Growth Wales+ programme. Eligibility criteria will apply, and Working Wales advisers will discuss your circumstances when they assess your needs.
