What you will learn
Participants will achieve a Level 3 Diploma in Plumbing and Heating from EAL, totaling 140 credits. The programme integrates Essential Skills Wales qualifications in Communication, Application of Number, and Digital Literacy. It includes extensive on-the-job training (5520 hours) and off-the-job training (1380 hours), fostering practical skills alongside theoretical knowledge.
The curriculum covers installation, maintenance, and inspection of plumbing and heating systems, compliance with health and safety regulations, and electrical work associated with plumbing systems.
Successful completion prepares apprentices for roles such as Technician, Project Manager, or Chartered Engineer. It also facilitates progression to higher education or specialised vocational qualifications.
Assessment includes practical observations, written assignments, and examinations aligned with industry standards, ensuring competence in both knowledge and skills.
