Programme Description
Learner must reside legally in Wales and be aged 19 years old or over.
In addition, individuals must be:

employed (including Agency and Zero-hours contracts) or

self-employed or
-
full-time carers (incl. non-paid)

their annual basic salary does not go over £32,371
Changes for 18th Edition are as follows:
- Electromagnetic Disturbance
- Surge Protection
- Medical locations
- Operating and Maintenance Gangways
- Arc Fault Detection Devices (AFDDs)
- Changes to fire safety requirements in chapter 422, covering the design of electrical installations in industrial, commercial adn multiple-occupancy homes, as well as new information for ‘protected escape routes’
- Protection against over voltages
- Changes across Part 7: Special Locations
- New section - Part 8
This one day update course is suitable for confident electricians with 17th Edition looking to get 18th (incl. Amendment 2) or 18th Edition qualified electricians looking to update their certificates & knowledge to Amendment 2.
After successful completion of the EAL BS7671 Electrical Safety 18th Edition (Update) course learners can have the confidence that they have furthered their knowledge and career. Learners could progress onto further qualifications if appropriate.
