ILM Certificate in Team Leading (Level 2)

This qualification is designed for new and aspiring team leaders. It gives an in-depth introduction to the role and responsibilities of a team leader. Students have access to learning materials at any time day or night via the college’s online supporting Google Classrooms and digital library. In addition to this they have allocated tutor support and one to one set tutorials to aid students before they submit work digitally online. 

Course fees applicable which covers tuition, assessment and tutorial sessions - price available on request.

What you will learn

Monthly taught sessions with an individual tutorial session. Delivery of the course will be tailored towards the needs of the group. Blended learning is most likely going to be the preferred option.

This qualifications will provide progression opportunities to other qualifications including:

  • ILM Level 3 Award or Certificate in Leadership and Management
  • ILM Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Leadership and Management.

The qualification includes topics such Developing yourself as a Team Leader, Improving Performance of the Work Team and Planning and Monitoring work. A whole range of options is available embracing customer service, problem solving, legal aspects, decision making and communication practices.

The individual will benefit from learning core skills to lead a team successfully, motivation techniques and gaining the confidence to tackle difficult issues. Employers will see their staff develop their potential and become competent in managing people and relationships.

Formal assessments such as assignments, Q&As or reflective accounts as well as product evidence will be carried out.

Interest in moving into a management role or already in a team leading role.

You will need to provide your own stationery and may also incur costs if the department arranges educational visits.
