This apprenticeship offers practical learning, professional development, and essential legal knowledge through a blend of online teaching, coaching, and workplace development. It covers key legal areas and professional skills, ensuring learners are well-prepared for roles like Paralegal, Junior Fee Earner, Legal Administrator, and Legal Secretary. Both levels integrate Essential Skills Wales qualifications in Communication, Application of Number, and Digital Literacy. Fully funded for eligible candidates, the programme also includes professional membership fees, supporting apprentices throughout their learning journey.

Successful completion of the Level 3 apprenticeship allows progression to the Level 5 Higher Apprenticeship. Graduates can pursue roles such as Paralegal, Junior Fee Earner, Legal Administrator, or Legal Secretary. Level 5 graduates can further advance to the UWTSD LLB Law and Practice Degree or the CILEX Lawyer CPQ Professional qualification.
Assessment includes assignments, exams, and competency evaluations based on real-world scenarios. No traditional exams are required; instead, practical assessments ensure learners demonstrate proficiency in all required areas.
Applicants must be 18 or over, employed, and living in Wales. An interview will assess suitability, ensuring candidates meet the programme’s literacy and numeracy requirements. A digital literacy level 2 qualification is necessary. Those without GCSE A-C grades (or equivalent) must complete Essential Skills Qualifications in Communication, Application of Number, and Digital Literacy. Both new and existing employees are eligible.
Apprenticeships in Wales are fully funded for eligible learners. Additional costs include mandatory professional membership fees, paid annually by the apprentice. Optional costs for textbooks and other learning materials may apply. Apprentices must be employed and fully supported by their employers throughout the programme. Essential Skills Qualifications in Application of Number, Communication, and Digital Literacy are required if not previously attained.
