The ITIL® Foundation course teaches the latest change to the ITIL® service management syllabus and framework by AXELOS.The change reflects the digital transformation the world, known as the “Fourth Industrial Revolution” or “Industry 4.0”, is going through and how that needs to be represented through service providers aligning themselves to business strategy and customer needs. ITIL® provides comprehensive, practical and proven guidance for establishing a service management system.

Programme Description

Learner must reside legally in Wales and be aged 19 years old or over.

In addition, individuals must be:

  • employed (including Agency and Zero-hours contracts) or

  • self-employed or

  • full-time carers (incl. non-paid)

There is no funding wage cap for this course.

To better understand this in depth course various topics are covered including introduction, key concepts of service management, the four dimensions of service management, the ITIL® service value system and ITIL® guiding principles. The service value chain, general management practices, service management principles and technical management principles.

With the course covering two days learners will get a thorough understanding of the new ITIL® Foundation syllabus. Included in the course price is the official ITIL® manual and the official and recently released syllabus from AXELOS ensuring the learners knowledge and qualification will be up to date and relevant. The examination is included in the price and will be taken on the last day of training.

This ITIL® Foundation course is suitable for learners looking to start their career in IT service management. It is also suitable for current IT professionals looking to move into a service management role and professionals in various areas of IT who have a focus on service delivery. Due to the changes in the qualification this course is also suitable for those who already hold the ITIL® Foundation qualification and want to update their knowledge to the latest version.

Learners could progress onto other courses once they have achieved a certificate of completion for this course.
