No formal entry requirements

In response to the growing demand for skilled EMS auditors, the IEMA Certified Internal EMS Auditor Course equips professionals with the knowledge and practical skills to assess, report, and improve Environmental Management Systems (EMS) in line with ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 19011 auditing principles.

This course is particularly valuable for those responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and continual improvement of an organisation’s EMS. It provides in-depth training on internal auditing best practices, ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 and supporting businesses preparing for certification or registration. With ISO 17021-1:2015 requiring external audits to assess an organisation’s internal auditing arrangements, having competent in-house auditors is critical to meeting these requirements.

Through interactive workshops, case studies, and hands-on auditing exercises, participants will develop the skills needed to conduct effective, value-adding internal audits. By the end of the course, you will be prepared to not only meet regulatory expectations but also provide your organisation—and its stakeholders—with confidence that its EMS is delivering real, measurable improvements.
