Programme Description

Learner must reside legally in Wales and be aged 19 years old or over.

In addition, individuals must be:

  • employed (including Agency and Zero-hours contracts) or

  • self-employed or

  • full-time carers (incl. non-paid)

There is no funding wage cap for this course.

This course will give individuals a foundation of environmental and sustainability knowledge to build on. Covering a wide range of environmental, sustainability and governance principles, this course will give learners an understanding of the breadth of the sustainability agenda, and the management tools and skills that they will need when working within this area.

This course is for individuals who are starting out, or changing to, a career in environment or sustainability focused roles. Learners don’t need any prior knowledge before taking this course as this will prepare individuals with everything they need to know to start their journey.

This course is also great for people working in other professions, such as marketing or finance, to gain a basic understanding of sustainability that they might apply in their role.

This course is an excellent precursor to further professional development, including the IEMA Environmental Sustainability Skills for Managers course.
