By serving real customers in a professional environment, our learners develop a range of employability skills, which prepares them for the world of work. Our students and teaching staff have won awards for their cooking and food service skills at both local and national levels.
Cegin Sir Gâr - Pibwrlwyd
Cegin Sir Gâr is Coleg Sir Gâr’s training facility for aspiring chefs and maître d’ staff. The restaurant, which offers a table d’hote menu, has a long-established reputation for the quality of its food and service where restaurant quality gastronome can be enjoyed at reasonable prices.
Throughout the year, Cegin Sir Gâr welcomes some of the county’s top guest chefs to work with students, producing special menus and events for the public. A small facility within the restaurant can also be hired by external parties for seminars and meetings.
@Aberista - Aberystwyth
@Aberista is Aberystwyth campus’ professional training restaurant at Coleg Ceredigion. Students learn their trade using up-to-date equipment, perfecting the technical skills required to prepare, cook and serve high quality dishes in a contemporary setting where the decor reflects the coastal locality.
The elliptical demonstration island is used to cook in front of customers and provides the focus for regular evening events with local chefs and former students who showcase their establishments alongside the students.
Park Place - Cardigan
Park Place is Cardigan campus’ professional training restaurant where we pride ourselves on creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our community guests. The restaurant helps learners develop a range of employability skills, which prepares them for the world of work.
Along with the lunchtime service, we run range of themed evenings across the year. Our students have won awards for their cooking and food service skills competing at local and national levels.
Our restaurant has excellent relationships with local employers and working in partnership helps to enhance the skills and experience we offer our learners.
