Animal Management - Entry Level Diploma (College Course)

  • Pibwrlwyd Campus
1 Year

This course is a full-time programme which offers a range of exciting skills and learning opportunities for those who are passionate about animals.

The one-year course focuses on developing the skills required by employers in the animal management industry which enable learners to progress onto employment or higher-level courses in this subject area.

Practical experience is a vital aspect of securing a job role with the land-based industry, as a result 300 hours of work experience are also required to help gain a better understanding of the industry and to benefit those applying for careers within the industry.

Students are expected to find and organise a placement themselves, within the sector they would like to work in. In order to allow students to reach the required number of hours, they will spend 3 days a week in college and the other 2 days out on work placement. As a result, it is imperative that students secure a work placement within the first month of starting the course.
