Gwendoline has had a busy two years at Coleg Sir Gȃr, studying five subjects, and has achieved top grades in maths, further maths, chemistry, business and politics finishing with an A*, A, A, B and B.

Gwendoline said: “I had quite a full time table, teachers were supportive especially to the leadup to exams this year, when I needed to leave lessons to revise for other exams because I had so many on.”

Gwendoline will be starting at London Interdisciplinary School studying interdisciplinary problems and methods in September. Not your usual degree, Gwendoline came across the university whilst researching for a Welsh baccalaureate project and was intrigued.

Gwendoline, speaking about the degree she’s embarking on, said: “The course works across all subjects, so you’re not specialising on one subject - you’re bringing all your knowledge bases together to solve complex problems.”

London Interdisciplinary School is a one degree (bachelors or masters) university. The interdisciplinary degree focuses on complex problems, such as AI, plastic waste, inequality, and climate change. They aspire to challenge students to think differently about complex problems.

Carl Gombrich, Dean of London Interdisciplinary School says that: “This degree isn’t for everybody but it is for those of you who love being intellectually challenged in many different ways.”
