Coleg Sir Gȃr students celebrate outstanding A-Level results
The A-Level students of Coleg Sir Gȃr are once again celebrating their achievements on results day, marking another year of academic success. The 2024 results have been particularly impressive, with many students achieving excellent grades and securing places at universities across the country. The hard work and dedication of both students and staff have paid off, with numerous success stories emerging from various subjects.
Kiera Meal, achieved A A A*
Kiera finished her time at Coleg Sir Gȃr on a high, achieving top grades of A*, A and A in her A level examinations. Kiera studied law, psychology and sociology at the college and will be studying law at the University of Exeter in September.
Kiera said: “The staff have been so lovely, especially the welfare team. Getting to work with some of the other staff with the student union has been a different level of connection with college life, it was great.”
Hannah Carpenter, achieved A*, A* A
Hannah has successfully completed her A-levels finishing with an A*, A* and A in physical education, biology and psychology. She’ll be furthering her studies in the University of Bath studying sports science.
Hannah said: “The college helped me a lot, it’s like a big community - I felt very supported. They supported me in my studies, the lecturers were good at giving me material and advice.”
Jack Kessell, achieved A, A, A
Jack was ecstatic opening up his results and learning his hard work paid off as he will now be heading to Bangor University to study medicine - his dream of becoming a doctor in reach. Jack achieved A, A and A in chemistry, biology and psychology.
Jack said: “I’m over the moon and lost for words, I was so nervous but being able to look at those grades I’m so so happy.”
Esther Morris, achieved A, A, A,
Esther had an incredibly successful results day, achieving A, A, and A in history, business and politics. She is the first person in her family to go to university, her family are so proud of her achievement. Esther will be studying international relations at the Royal Holloway University of London this September.
