Coleg Sir Gâr and Coleg Ceredigion win Careers Wales Development award 2024
Coleg Sir Gâr and Coleg Ceredigion have been recognised with an award for their continuous improvement in learning for careers and the world of work.
The award recognises the processes in place that enables staff to continually review and enhance career and work-related programs, ensuring an engaging and dynamic learning experience for students.
The college provides all learners with engaging and informative careers and work related education programmes, equipping them with important career management skills to thrive in the modern workplace. Strong career guidance offers both immediate and long-term benefits, from improving students’ motivation to setting clear goals for future studies and career pathways, ultimately boosting their self-esteem and sense of direction.
This recognition marks the second Careers Wales Development Award for Coleg Sir Gâr and Coleg Ceredigion, building on their previous success in 2021.
Becky Pask, employability entrepreneurship coordinator at Coleg Sir Gâr said: “We are thrilled to have been recognised with the Careers Development Award for Continuous Improvement in the delivery of the Careers and the World of Work Framework.
“This award is a testament to the dedication of our staff in supporting the Be Ambitious Awards which is funded by the Welsh Government Employment and Enterprise Bureau at both Coleg Sir Gâr and Coleg Ceredigion in providing high-quality careers education that supports our learners’ aspirations.
“In today’s challenging economic climate, it is more vital than ever to equip our students with the career management skills they need to succeed in the modern workforce.
