Coleg Ceredigion is thrilled to announce that three of our catering students have secured places in the WSUK British Long Squad – an incredible achievement highlighting their dedication and talent.

Katy Law and Shannon Brown from our Cardigan campus, along with Ella Clemments from our Aberystwyth campus, represent an impressive 60% of the WSUK British Long Squad for Restaurant Service, highlighting the outstanding talent cultivated at Coleg Ceredigion. 

The next stage of their journey takes place during Phase 3, held at Coleg Llandrillo in early March. This four-day event will be followed by the prestigious Salon Culinaire London competition at the Hospitality, Restaurant & Catering (HRC) Show on 17th March 2025. HRC, the UK’s leading trade event for hospitality and foodservice, will run from 17th–19th March at ExCeL London as part of Food, Drink & Hospitality Week.

Following the London competition, squad members will discover if they progress to Stage 4 of the selection process.

In preparation, the students are currently undertaking an intensive six-week training program, leading up to the Back to Basics squad selection event in North Wales.
