Carmarthen School of Art is thrilled to announce Legacy, a special exhibition featured in this year’s Ffoto Cymru Festival.
This exhibition, which highlights the exceptional talents nurtured through the school’s renowned Photography course, will open with a private view on Thursday, 10 October 2024, from 17:30 to 19:30 at Oriel Henry Gallery, Carmarthen School of Art, Jobs Well Road, Carmarthen SA31 3HY.
For nearly fifty years, Carmarthen School of Art has been a cornerstone for aspiring photographers, providing an exceptional education in visual storytelling since the inception of its Photography course in 1978.
Legacy brings together the works of 27 distinguished alumni, showcasing their diverse and unique journeys as photographers and creatives.
This exhibition not only celebrates the achievements of these talented individuals but also serves as a source of inspiration for the next generation of photographers and creatives. As part of a broader initiative launched in 2023 to commemorate and archive the successes of Carmarthen’s graduates, Legacy is a testament to the transformative power of arts education.
In addition to the exhibition, Carmarthen School of Art is proud to announce the forthcoming release of a special publication, which will document and celebrate the accomplishments of its alumni. This resource will document and celebrate the accomplishments of alumni, offering a lasting resource to inspire current and future students.
The school warmly invites you to join the private viewing on October 10th and experience the inspiring work that continues to emerge from Carmarthen School of Art.
