Various topics are covered in this course including promoting good practice in handling information in health and social care settings, managing own performance in a business environment, identifying information requirements in a health context, managing health informatics in healthcare settings, principles of managing information and producing documents and communication skills for working in the health sector. There are a number of optional units for you to also pick from.
Level 2 Application of Number is included within the induction of this qualification.
This qualification is perfect for those with roles that involve the handling and management of electronic and paper based data and information, using IT and manual systems. This could include day-to-day management of patient records, validation and coding of data and the analysis, reporting and use of data to support the quality of information.
After successful completion of this course learners could progress onto the Level 4 Certificate in Health Informatics course.
