1 - Green Education

  • Inspire and motivate our staff to be committed to local and global net zero strategies
  • Implement a curriculum that integrates sustainability, renewable energy, and environmental stewardship across various disciplines
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create opportunities for students interested in pursuing careers in green industries

2 - Workforce Development for a Sustainable Future

  • Work with the RLSP and WG to identify skill gaps and tailor training programs accordingly
  • Establish industry-relevant training programs to equip the current workforce with the skills needed for the emerging green economy, particularly focusing on the skills required for strategic regional developments
  • Establish key partnerships with manufacturers and industry specialists to supply a skilled future - ready workforce
  • Actively promote the Green Skills Academy

3 - Innovation Hub for Sustainable Solutions

  • Establish a centre of innovation at the Green Academy dedicated to the research, development and colloabarative efforts in sustainable technologies and practices
  • Encourage partnerships with local businesses and organisations to incubate and accelerate green startups, enhancing their growth and their transition to a more sustainable economy

4 - Wellbeing and Future Generations Focus

  • Infuse well-being principles and the Future Generations Act into the fabric of the Green Academy’s culture, policies, and practices
  • Implement initiatives that promote social inclusion, diversity, and mental health within the context of sustainability
  • Facilitate workshops, seminars, and community events to raise awareness about green initiatives, climate change, and sustainable living practices
  • Collaborate with local communities to address specific challenges and opportunities related to sustainability
    ensuring a ‘just transition’ to net zero
